PCDeal: 1309.69% ROAS and sale of refurbished computers

PCDeal is a Norwegian online store that sells almost new laptops, desktop computers, and PC equipment with up to 70% off compared to buying new.

Before our collaboration, the advertising was done in-house, and our goal was to free up the time of the managing director and increase the profitability of the ads.

The process

The collaboration started on Google Ads. Before we came in, only 1 Performance Max campaign and 1 brand search campaign were run, and the setup was far from optimal.

The first thing we did was set up new Performance Max campaigns that divided the retargeting audience and cold audience, and introduced new and fresh images, headlines, and descriptions.

Furthermore, we ran dozens of tests to determine if the current structure and approach are the most profitable. In the end, we found that the simplest setup works best: 2 PMax campaigns with different targeting, plus a brand search campaign.

Performance Max - regular search, shopping, and display?

Typically, we try to avoid using fully automated campaign types like Performance Max, but after several tests, it turned out that Performance Max delivered the best results. Performance Max doesn't always work, but when it does, we use it to its full potential.

The results

Before we entered into collaboration with PCDeal, Google Ads generated a ROAS of 516.78% during the best sales period of the year in November.

Since the start of the collaboration in December of 2023, Google Ads has delivered an average ROAS of 1309.69% over 5 months.

This means that for every krone spent on ads, we deliver over 13kr in return. Now that's a good investment!
